English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Support

Many international students come to the UK with the objective of gaining A Levels to be admitted into UK Universities. When English is not their first language, it is critical that their standard of English is rapidly brought up to a level, where they can understand the tuition at Campbell Harris as well as passing the language tests used by the Universities. IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is the preferred language test for most Universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. It is also recognised by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other Government agencies.

Those students requiring English Language tuition will be given intensive tuition in the four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. Usually, this will be integrated into students' timetables. Teaching methods are innovative and varied.  At Campbell Harris, international students will mix with a wide variety of English students, which not only helps their linguistic skills but also exposes them to English culture.

At the appropriate time students will be entered for external Cambridge IELTS examinations, in which success allows them to apply to any UK University.

The additional fee for EFL tuition is £825 per term.
